JP Saxe is gradually establishing his spot as the king of duets in this era with another awesome ballad with Maren Morris called “Line by Line”.
The Grammy-nominated singers met each other in Maren’s hometown of Nashville, where they merged their elite songwriting skills to create “Line by Line”, which will feature on JP Saxe’s forthcoming debut album.
“Line by Line” is about their love of songwriting and how a song is not enough to express all the complex feelings they feel, especially in relation to love. This is expressed vividly by the chorus that states: “Love’s too big for a love song if I tried to sum it up I know I’d get it wrong“.
Furthermore, JP Saxe explains that: “As songwriters, we spend a lot of our lives trying to bottle up a feeling into a song, and often, the biggest feelings, the best ones… the complicated, detailed, messy, incredible ones… just aren’t going to fit. Line by Line is our recognition of that… of how one song just isn’t enough to capture it all, but how we’re just going to keep writing, futilely and lovingly, anyway.”
“Line by Line” is a beautiful and creative timeless song that all generations can appreciate.
