7 New Rap Songs To Enjoy This Week // 03.06.2021

With the month of May coming to a close, we have been gifted a host of new projects and single releases from both US and UK artists alike. Darkoo ft. Blanco – She Like

Darkoo doesn’t disappoint when it comes to summer bangers and for this track she’s teamed up with one of the UK’s most underrated artists in Blanco. The Harlem Spartan does what he does best and provides us with cold bars and references with his signature cadence and flow. Darkoo drops a catchy hook as well as smooth bars on her verse. This is definitely one track that’s gonna get played throughout the coming months.

Wretch 32 ft. KayyKayy – Anxiety

Legendary UK MC Wretch 32 dropped his latest project little BIG Man on Thursday night and with it came this standout track. The jumpy piano-based instrumental is reminiscent of trap and allows Wrtech to drop expert lyricism with a confident delivery and his almost effortless flow. KayyKayy comes in spitting gritty lyrics, holding his own against the veteran rapper. The track is consistent with the rest of the solid project as Wretch continues to show why he’s still one of the best in the game.

Lil Baby & Lil Durk – Voice of the Heroes

Two of hip hop’s biggest names join forces as Lil Baby and Lil Durk drop a highly-anticipated collaboration. Both artists have continued they’re on a strong run of form since 2020 and on this track, they don’t drop the ball. Lil Baby’s unique flow and cadence shine through on the mellow trap beat as he goes back to back with Lil Durk who in addition to dropping bars provides us wavy vocals making for a catchy track.

Bugzy Malone – Ride Out

Taken from his latest album entitled The Resurrection, Bugzy Malone hasn’t missed with this standout track. Despite dropping stellar singles, Bugzy still left room for some gems on the album. The instrumental samples various vocals making for a jumpy beat that compliments Bugzy’s gritty yet braggadocious style.

NSG – Colonization

The latest release from NSG is timely with the weather screaming out for them to give us those summer vibes. They don’t let us down with a solid new track. The vibey yet slightly ominous instrumental is produced by 4Play and sees NSG do what they do best giving us wavy vocals and bars, truly a head-popping summer banger.

DMX ft. Jay Z & Nas – Bath Salts

This track comes from the late great DMX’s posthumous album Exodus and it brings the three New York juggernauts together for the first time. The three trade hard bars over an intense instrumental complete with a heavy bass and klaxon sample. The gritty banger has no weak links with all three legends contributing their own unique flow and cadence, making for one of the album’s standouts.

Ms. Banks ft. K-Trap – Pull Up

Ms. Banks has dropped a greazy new track featuring one of drill’s most consistent rappers in K-Trap. Ms. Banks speaks directly to her haters were confident delivery and smooth flows before she gives us a wavy chorus. K-Trap follows with intricate bars and wordplay complete with his signature cadence and flow, making for one of the week’s hardest drops.
